Hello,Yes, this is working great. Czech people and perhaps some more like me will be happier.
All the sites under the Internet info umbrella were affected by this including lupa.cz, slunecnice.cz and many more.
Thanks again for working it around. Greetings Peter Dňa 22. 2. 2021 o 10:32 Joanmarie Diggs napísal(a):
Hey Peter. I think I've got this one worked around as well. Please let me know. --joanie On Sat, 2021-02-20 at 17:52 +0100, Peter Vágner wrote:Hello, I thought this is just a little anoyance and no one will ever care. However in this recent discussion with Vojta you have elliminated two of the issues where anchor text is displayed one character per line. If you can also take a look here: https://www.root.cz/zpravicky/networkmanager-1-30-s-192bitovym-wpa3-enterprise/ I'm sorry, the site is all in czech and it can't be switched into english. There is a heading at level 2 with the text "Sdílet" and there are four links below. "Sdílejte na Facebooku" and "Sdílejte na Twitteru" were also displayed single character per line and they are now reported as a whole, the way I'd expect. However the third link saying " Líbí se vám zprávička? Podpořte redakci" this one is still displayed one character per line thus when reading up to bottom it's a bit anoying. Is there a way so you can also tweak this one? Greetings Peter Dňa 19. 2. 2021 o 16:06 Joanmarie Diggs napísal(a):Hi again Vojta. The link on a single line is now fixed for me in Orca master (aka 40.beta). In addition, it seems like the Tesco site is all ARIAed up with GUI roles (toolbar, menu, etc.) but they don't provide any navigation. That strikes me as a bad use of ARIA. Regardless, I've now made those things descendable in browse mode in Orca master (aka 40.beta) and the Tesco site sucks a lot less. I realize that you're doing your best to get away from Orca 40 Beta, but at least on my machine the problems I described above are also present in Orca 3.38 and 3.36. So if you are able to straighten your situation out and update to the very latest Orca master and test, that would be great. Thanks! --joanie On Fri, 2021-02-19 at 14:51 +0100, Joanmarie Diggs wrote:To follow up: On the tesco site, I can reproduce the link presented as if each character were on a line by itself. It's in version 40 beta, 3.38.2, and 3.36.6. So if that is what you are referring to in your original message, that does not appear to be a regression. I'll try to fix that link presentation now. --joanie On Fri, 2021-02-19 at 14:39 +0100, Joanmarie Diggs wrote:Hi Vojta. I'll take a look at the site you mention. But when you have problems and you'd like them fixed, I need really precise steps to reproduce each problem. This is doubly so when it's a regression. This is triply so when we're approaching the stable release date. Thanks in advance and sorry you are having problems! --joanie On Fri, 2021-02-19 at 13:55 +0100, Vojtěch šmiro via orca-list wrote:Hello, I have big problems with new Orca 40 Beta and I would like to switch back to the Orca stable. If I write /usr/bin/orca -r I will launch Orca 3.36.2, because that Orca is native in my Ubuntu Mate 20.04. I would like to have 3.38.2, that's a good Orca version. I've tested git clone https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/orca.git cd orca sudo sh ./autogen.sh make sudo make install sudo make clean forever, not stable Orca. Stormux is fine too. I have problems with nakup.itesco.cz. It spells some link if I press down arrow, I see one letter on one row so I have isn't table, but toolbar in Orca beta. In Orca stable it's good. How to switch to Orca 3.38.2 on Ubuntu Mate 20.04? Thanks a lot.
