Re: [orca-list] Performance issues with finding text in Chromium

Turns out Chromium is being super event-floody. I just committed a
couple of changes to master and the gnome-41 branch which should
improve things. I'll see if there's anything else I can do to further
improve performance, but in the meantime please test and let me know if
it at least sucks less than before. :)

Thanks again!

To reproduce:

Visit a Web page in Chromium, preferably a long document just to
make
the problem more obvious.

Type Ctrl-F to start a text search, then enter a string that
appears
toward the end of the document.

Result: Orca becomes completely unresponsive as the text is typed,
and
very slow to update its speech/braille output as matches are found.

Is there a bug related to this issue already?
