yes it have worked before
but if you install mate and orca the crostini will crash so you have

No, you don’t need to remove ChromeOS or install Linux separately at
all, although you are welcome to if you want and know how. To be
clear though I am just talking about the normal Linux container
feature within ChromeOS (aka crostini). I also had success using
orca several years ago running Linux within ChromeOS via the
“crouton” scripts.

I have Orca running on my Chromebook, it works well other than
the issue I mentioned the other day of the default shortcuts not
working because there is no Caps lock, Insert, or Numlock. Only
thing special I had to do to get it working for me was set the
environment variable QT_LINUX_ACCESSIBILITY_ALWAYS_ON, otherwise
Qt based apps (including MuseScore, which I help develop)
wouldn’t be seen at all.
BTW, I got some great help here and elsewhere with respect to
getting MuseScore working better with orca, and ended up
developing a script but also implementing some changes within
the app. Today we’re finally releasing an alpha version that
incorporates those changes, so soon we’ll officially be able to
say we support Orca.

Hello
if this has been discussed before, I’m sorry. However, we’re
just reading one of the messages, and it was mentioned, that
you can run orca on your Chromebook. Was wondering, how this
all is accomplished? Well if anybody can point me to list
documentation, I would appreciate that. I do know some
basics however. Such as there are some Basic packaging tools
such as dpkg and tools, but not sure if that is even
relevant here. As far as Cristini, the last I knew, sound
was not operational within the virtual environment,
apparently though, this has been fixed. My particular
Chromebook is a Lenovo yoga for, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB
of storage. This particular model, also has a touchscreen,
but not sure if Orcutt even works with such things. But,
just wanted to give you a little background here.
