In such situations, a view should be taken on majority use cases.
IMHO now a days less and less people are using desktops.
So the laptop layout could just be fine.
And by the way it won't harm desktop users any how.
It's one thing to say that you will get a laptop with a number pad if you get one at all. The problem comes in the fact that not only are laptops with number pads much harder to find, but they tend to be far more expensive than laptops without number pads. Seeing the message that indicates using both the capslock and insert keys as Orca modifiers by default however, I would have to agree with that option. Then users who need to switch layouts will be able to do so easily, no matter which layout is the default. ~Kyle _______________________________________________ orca-list mailing list orca-list gnome org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/orca-list Orca wiki: https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Orca Orca documentation: https://help.gnome.org/users/orca/stable/ GNOME Universal Access guide: https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/stable/a11y.html
