Re: [orca-list] Evelution accessibility with orca?

3.36. But Evolution still has problems. For example, when creating a new account or when creating a new email, it is not possible to read the edit boxes using the cursor arrows. That is, in some editing fields it is not possible to read the entered text using the left and right arrows (letter subject, sender, etc.). There is also a problem with the message list. If Orca settings are turned off in a spreadsheet, when scrolling through the message list with the up and down arrows, I only hear words read or not read, depending on whether the current message is read. If the row announcement in the tables is enabled, Orca reads correctly. Also in the message list, I cannot navigate with the right and left arrows. That is, earlier I could navigate between cells in this way.

Thanks to your message, I decided to give Evolution another try. I
found your problem, and it actually seemms to be similar to an issue I
always had with it, bbut figured a way around. I have reported the
problem along with the expected behavior at
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/908
Any comments or thumbs up would be appreciated. For now, when you open
the message, just hit shift+tab, which in most cases will take you to
the body of the message, then hit control+home, which will take you to
the top of the message body. Hope this hellps. And yes, it's good to be
on Evolution again.
