Hi Norman,
In the output of this command:
spd-list -O|grep rhvoice # mind the capital O
you should find:
rhvoice
If not the module is not properly installed.
If yes please post the output of:
spd-say -o rhvoice -L # mind the lower case o and the capital L
At least one voice should be listed.
Then you should hear the output of:
spd-say -o rhvoice Hello
Yuu can also try with another voice or language listed in the output of:
spd-say -o rhvoice -L
For instance;
spd-say -o rhvoice -y Elena Hello
spd-say -o rhvoice -l uk Hello
To know more, type:
spd-say --help
If everything is OK you could restart Orca and in the Voices Tab of the
Orca Preferences window choose:
Synthesizer: rhvoice
Language: one of those listed
Person: one of the voices listed.
A few things you can check to investigate further if need be:
Do you have this directory containing the voices?
/usr/share/RHVoice/voices/
Do you have this configuration file?
/etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/rhvoice.conf
Do you have this line in /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf?
#AddModule "rhvoice" "sd_rhvoice" "rhvoice.conf"
And check the output of:
ls -l /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher/modules/sd_rhvoice
file /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher/modules/sd_rhvoice
(maybe /usr/lib64 instead of /usr/lib)
Have a good day,
Didier

Would you have a guide to building this?
I tried and it seems to have worked, i have an rh voice test module, but i'm not sure how to use it.
I did simlink it to speech-dispatcher-modules but i can't restart speech-dispatcher.
So i rebooted but still no rh voice sinthasizer.
Thoughts?
