Re: [orca-list] gnome desktop, ORCA, and terminal console

In addition, Shift-PageUp and ShiftPageDown are very useful in GNOME-Terminal for reviewing the scrollback buffer. You can also open multiple terminals (Shift-Ctrl-N) and then use alt with the key above tab to switch between them.

Hi David,

No issues here using Gnome Terminal with Orca.

Cut and paste works fine, and flat review has no problem with the contents of the terminal.

Hi there everyone -

Does anyone have experience accessing the command line terminal console in the gnome desktop using ORCA?  Can you do cut-and-paste, and review what is on the screen, and does it keep track of the cursor in vi, and does it work better [or not as good] as speakup?

I am in the process of getting a new linux workstation at work, and they are looking into using Red Hat Enterprise [7?] rather than Debian [which I have been using with speakup] but RHEL doesn't have speakup, only ORCA and brltty

Since 100% of the work I do on this box is on the command line, I wonder how different the experience would be

Thanks in advance
