Hi Alexander and Joanie.
hello josé.
Do you use the -n flag when start VScode?
sometimes.
Today I installed the version of code-insiders that uses electron 11.
Since then every time I run code-insiders using the -n flag, the orca
is muted.
for me it's not every time. i launched it 6 times. and didn't get orca
to hang.
To reproduce try the following steps:
1. Launch gnome-terminal or an equivalent.
2. Type code-insiders -n and press enter.
on my environment I need to restart orca.
as I said - I could not reproduce this. let's see what Joanie says.

Hi Joanie.
As we say here in Brazil, the problem was between the chair and
the keyboard.
Instead of call code-insiders present in the bin folder, I was
calling code-insiders present in the VScode folder.
As soon as I called the code-insiders present in the bin folder
the problem was solved.
Thank you very much and forgive me for the noise.
unfortunately, this is not entirely true, I am sure that I am
running VSCode
correctly, but still in 1 out of 8 cases the orca may freeze
