Hmm, a little regression.
Orca does not announce battery, Network manager applet and
microphone or speakers volume on the top bar in mate.
Mate 1.24.1 on archlinux

I think it is working like this for ages.
In fact It is happening to me randomly since I'm using orca and gnome -terminal for some 7+ years or so.
Some times flat review on the terminal will get wrapped incorrectly as if there were no line breaks. Switching to another window and then back fixes it so I haven't reported this.

regression in Orca or something broken which you just now came across?
orca 3.38.1-1 has that issue, so i think it isn't recent. i should use info more often. )
