Re: [orca-list] Bug with Chromium on a web shop

Hi Joanie,

When I was making the debug.out with Chromium, it worked so I investigated much and found the following:

- If I press b until "Ajouter au panier", press Shift+Tab to then press Enter on "=" then press Tab and space to t"Ajouter au panier", it doesn't work;

- If I press e until the quantity edit box, tab then enter on "+" then tab&space on "Ajouter au panier", sometimes it works.

It looks like very random on Chromium when it always works on FireFox.

I made two debug.out with Chromium, one when it works and the other when it doesn't.

- When it works: http://ix.io/2ixY

- When it doesn't work: http://ix.io/2ixZ

Could a debug.out with FireFox still could help in these conditions?

Or another one making different steps?

Hop it could help to understand better this Chromium conundrum,

Patrick

Hi Patrick.

You can send one -- or how about two: one for Firefox Nightly and one for Chromium.

That said, I'm not sure if it will help much because Orca does not control what happens when you press Space or Enter. It lets the browser have those keys.

Hi Joanie,

I've tested again with FireFox ESR and nightly:

1. I press enter on the link "+" to add one;

2. I press Space on "Ajouter au panier".

I also tested by specifying a quantity in the edit box on step 1 with the same result.

To be sure, I checked if the basket had the article but it was empty.

Could a debug.out helps better?

Thanks,

Patrick

I cannot reproduce this. I see the same behavior with both firefox and chromium. That behavior is not good, but pressing the button works.

More specifically:

1. If I don't first choose a quantity, when I press the button I get an
silent popup which tells me I need to choose the quantity.
2. When I correct that error and try again, I get a different
silent popup whose text starts with "Le produit a été ajouté à votre
   panier"

I've not yet checked to see if the reason Orca is failing to say anything when the popups appear is due to Orca or the site. But, again, the behavior is the same for both Firefox and Chromium.

Since you indicated things work as expected for you in Firefox, I'm curious as to what we're doing differently.

Hello,

Environment: Debian 10, Orca master

Chromium version: 84.0.4118.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to this page: https://www.wanimo.com/fr/chats/friandise-complement-sc7/easypill-chat-boules-de-poils-sf6229/?dmc_cid=19138&dmc_uid=19182530779&dmc_mid=1901149645&dmc_ch=email&dmc_gid=1900036982#utm_source=Newsletter_Full&utm_medium=email&utm_term=toilettage&utm_content=200417&utm_campaign=branding <https://www.wanimo.com/fr/chats/friandise-complement-sc7/easypill-chat-boules-de-poils-sf6229/?dmc_cid=19138&dmc_uid=19182530779&dmc_mid=1901149645&dmc_ch=email&dmc_gid=1900036982#utm_source=Newsletter_Full&utm_medium=email&utm_term=toilettage&utm_content=200417&utm_campaign=branding>

2. Press space or enter on the button "ajouter au panier" (when on the top of page, press "b" twice)

Expected result: the article should be added to the basket.

Actual result: nothing happens.

I also tried to use the mouse but it looks like Orca cannot find the position.

Using FireFox, the button "ajouter au panier" works.

Best regards,
