I think there is a command line switch that forces electrum to
run gtk2 or the like, which makes the gui more accessible. Also,
you can run electrum from the terminal and get a cli version.
Maybe "electrum --nox", or something. If you have it installed,
try "man electrum" or
"electrum --help", in a terminal.
Last time I looked at this, I was running Trisquel 7.
