FWIW, I just filed this issue for VSCode:
https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/84833
In short, it does its own command line parsing, so doesn't yet support --force-renderer-accessibility. Hoping they can either add support for this, or can add an escape hatch for passing whatever parameters we might like to Electron.
Feel free to subscribe or thumbs-up the issue if that is of
interest. VSCode was usable under Windows when last I checked, and
accessibility improvements there benefit all supported platforms
to the extent they're able to leverage them, so VSCode is where
I'm pinning my hopes for now.
Thank you all!
I think I'll test the Evince, and in the end, I'll end up preferring to use the pdftotext feature to convert documents into text.
I quite like to develop in C, Java and Python. Eventually, I want to do some testing with NodJS, React and some other _javascript_ frameworks. I noticed that the Bluefish seems to have good accessibility. What environments (IDES) you use to develop?

usually.

they are both electron so based on chromium, so their accessibility is
related to the above point about chrome.
