See what I can see in the debug log:
^^^^ PROCESS OBJECT EVENT object:children-changed:add:system ^^^^^
KEYBOARD_EVENT: type=1
id=65293
hw_code=36
modifiers=16404
event_string=(M)
keyval_name=(Return)
is_text=False
timestamp=641824153
time=1547109072.946203
keyType=alphabetic
clickCount=1
shouldEcho=False
vvvvv PROCESS ATSPI_KEY_RELEASED_EVENT: 'M' (36) vvvvv
@Samuel: Any idea why return key is transformed to "M" when combined
with control?
Should I need to report an issue against AT-SPI?
Best regards,
Alex.

Hi,
The situation happens mainly in Thunderbird and in French. With any
speech tts. I dont know if it happens in English or other situations.
Here, the fact is that when eht key echo is enable and then, all keys
are spoken, when I press ctrl-enter, Orca says "M" and if I issue
ctrl-tab, Orca says "I". Have you ever noticed this? An explanation or a
bug?
regards
