Ok, let me see if I can fix it without having to access Dolibarr. But just in case, could you please tell me the French names of the buttons that are no longer being brailled? Debug.out files are long, and my French knowledge is short. ;) Thanks! --joanie On 2/12/19 12:22 PM, Jean-Philippe MENGUAL wrote:Hi Le 12/02/2019 à 17:43, Joanmarie Diggs a écrit :Thanks for testing. Are you saying this is a regression or just another problem you found? The reason I ask is because I specifically targeted my fix for push buttons. Other roles (like combo boxes) should not be impacted. The more I test, the more I see regressions. Here is the detail: - commit 1c70d655eb5a2aaa47f3b7ddbe480b46bcb46625: so far so good, except the bug I mention here with Spotify - commit c86f2d05b0738f9ecd550c846782437b72305cb8: bug with Spotify fixed, but: 1. In Thunderbird, in dialogs such as "Save this message", or "Send the message", all the buttons are no longer displayed in braille and just spoken. See http://demo.accelibreinfo.eu/deborca2.out 2. In Firefox, on the Dolibarr session I talked about in my last mail, the combo boxes are nice (I mentioned them just to show you wha is around the buttons). What is no longer displayed in braille are the buttons "Add" (next to the combo box" and "Generate", next to a combo box as well. See http://demo.accelibreinfo.eu/deborca.out Actually I think combo boxes have nothing to do with the problem as it happens in Thunderbird as well. It affects all the buttons of Mozilla apps, it seems. Available for any further test Best regards,--joanie On 2/12/19 11:30 AM, Jean-Philippe MENGUAL wrote:oops, I did not expect to have it, but here is a new debug.out (http://demo.accelibreinfo.eu/deborca.out). It is on Dolibarr. When I create a bill, I add products. It is a combo box where you choose the product, then you click on Add. Under the bill, you have 2 combo boxes to set the language and the format, then "Generate". Those two buttons were spoken and displayed in braille. Now they are just spoken. I can give you an access to the Dolibarr session if needed (in private) Regards signature_jp_2 Logo Hypra JEAN-PHILIPPE MENGUAL DIRECTEUR TECHNIQUE ET QUALITÉ 102, rue des poissonniers, 75018, Paris Tel : +331 84 73 06 61 <tel:+33184730661> Mob : +336 76 34 93 37 <tel:+33676349337> jpmengual hypra fr <mailto:jpmengual hypra fr> www.hypra.fr <http://www.hypra.fr/> Facebook Hypra <https://www.facebook.com/hyprasoftware/> Twitter Hypra <https://twitter.com/Hypra_> Linkedin Jean-Philippe <https://fr.linkedin.com/in/jean-philippe-mengual-800133135> Le 12/02/2019 à 16:47, Jean-Philippe MENGUAL a écrit :Hi Joanie, One thing is sure, is that your commit perfectly fixes the behavior for Spotify. It is just perfect. I let you know if I experience undesired effects in other contexts, but in this context it is excellent. So the problem is that the buttons in question have an icon as their accessible name. You're getting the information spoken after the role because it's the description. But we don't normally braille descriptions because descriptions tend to be long and take up too much space on the braille display. In this particular case, however, failure to present the description in braille means you have no clue what the thing is. :( I just committed a change which attempts to detect this condition and treat the description as the name when detected. That should hopefully improve the speech presentation in addition to fixing the braille problem. Please pull master and let me know. --joanie On 2/12/19 8:45 AM, Jean-Philippe MENGUAL wrote:Hi, To avoid a flood, I reduced the log at minimal: - running orca - alt-tab until the window where Spotify is playing - the caret is already on the player. So I move it via right and left arrows on the buttons, then I read the whole line. The buttons labels never appear in braille. They are pronounced when the caret is on them. Reading per line, the first is pronounced, the others are said "button" only. http://demo.accelibreinfo.eu/deborca.out Regards signature_jp_2 Logo Hypra JEAN-PHILIPPE MENGUAL DIRECTEUR TECHNIQUE ET QUALITÉ 102, rue des poissonniers, 75018, Paris Tel : +331 84 73 06 61 <tel:+33184730661> Mob : +336 76 34 93 37 <tel:+33676349337> jpmengual hypra fr <mailto:jpmengual hypra fr> www.hypra.fr <http://www.hypra.fr/> Facebook Hypra <https://www.facebook.com/hyprasoftware/> Twitter Hypra <https://twitter.com/Hypra_> Linkedin Jean-Philippe <https://fr.linkedin.com/in/jean-philippe-mengual-800133135> Le 12/02/2019 à 14:37, Joanmarie Diggs a écrit :Can you please capture a full debug.out? Thanks! --joanie On 2/12/19 3:48 AM, Jean-Philippe MENGUAL wrote:Hi, Sorry but this requires a Spotify account (a lot of what I experience on the Web is hard to report for this reason), I can give mine in private. The situation is as follows: 1. Once logged in, open the web player of Spotify (use nightly of Firefox as older releases have a problem with DRM so far) 2. Choose "Search" 3. Enter any song title 4. Choose titles in the result filter 5. Choose a title via down arrow and press enter to start playing 6. Go on down until the player area. You see it because the time scrolls. Above this information (the time), there are buttons: enable random playing, previous, next, play/pause. The thing is that these buttons are spoken by Orca, but not displayed in braille, i.e. I only see ? displayed. An explanation? Tell me if further info are needed.
