After you adjust sound volume try running alsactl store. To test,
reboot system and see if the volume remains at desired level.
as root try running upgrade-kernel.

Subject: [orca-list] one issue resolved with Slint
I have resolved my connection problem with Slint. I remembered my way of
remembering the command for configuring WIFI networks.
However I still have not been able to set sound volume to a level I can hear
it in a noisy place and I am still not sure of the command to upgrade the
Kernel in Slint.
