OK, sorry for the spam. This time, I did get a .movie file in my Videos/ 
directory when I used ctrl-c. Makes me a bit nervous to do that, 
especially given that I *didn't* get anything the first time. But, yes, 
this does seem to meet my needs. Thanks!


And if you have any pointers on how to cleanly shut down and save my 
work, that'd be great. I looked around but didn't find any icons to 
click, and nothing was in my notification area. Maybe I'm not looking in 
the right place?
