I just gave it a quick look, and unfortunately it seems that WxWidgets
uses a custom Scintilla platform layer, not the GTK+ one.  And only the
GTK+ and OSX platform layers currently have A11Y support, so it'd be up
to WxWidgets' guys to provide this feature in their custom platform
code, or somehow use the GTK+ one on Linux if they can.

So unfortunately here you reached a dead end unless you can see with the
WxWidgets people to implement A11Y in their custom layer.
