Re: [orca-list] Accessible instalation in Fedora

Has Fedora got an audible desktop package that produces a sound once the
desktop comes up after the package gets installed? If not, this may be
an opportunity for a little software development.

The Fedora Mate image is also fully accessible.? The Mate edition seems to use an older version of the
instaaller, in which, you can specify the default user info and host name with in the
installer; the Gnome doesn't let you set up users until first post-install boot.? Note, new user will have
to guess when the Gnome "welcome to fedora" screen is up; when it is, 'alt+super+s' works
as expected.? Once you fill the form, you login in, and can start using Fedora right away.?

One more thing:?? if you want qt accessibility, you'll have to do some fiddling; I never got this part
working.?

?To me, running Fedora is kinda like getting the semi-annual Ubuntu STS releases, rather than staying on
LTS.

Cheers,

Dave? H.
