[orca-list] setting up accounts in Gnucash

Is it easier to set up accounts manually in Gnucash than use the online 
banking settup under tools?

I have had a look at the online bank settup under tools but I have not 
successfully got it to work to obtain my account information so I have 
had to keep aborting the settup.

I have chosen the offline front end or whatever the choice is which 
might be nearest to what I think but as far as I know it doesn't 
recognise my bank under the list of banks so when i enter on okay after 
trying to enter my username etc, I go back to the beginning of the settup.

Selecting a bank from the list shows no banks which might be why it goes 
back to the start.

maybe I am just going to have to enter my main account details manually 
and either having to check all details against any statements which are 
paper based or go online in my web browser and get them.

When I go back to the accounts list, the account doesn't show up when I 
enter the details in the online bank settup wizzard so my guess is that 
people maybe enter details from their paper or bank statements or maybe 
save a file of transactions from their banking site and import them that 
way.
