I don't know if this will help. If I sign onto a new site with firefox
I get a prompt asking me if I want to save the password for the site. I
can do alt tab several times until I land on the save password box then
hit enter to open that box and tab inside that box to get to controls
for action. Could it be the notifications box is accessible in the same
way?

I got there with the keyboard but it's been so long I don't remember how
right now. I'll try something later today and see if I can locate that
mental data file and get back with that information.

As I know, there is no direct keyboard shortcut. See
