hi
Kyle is right. Atril will read a pdf file without crashing. The specific
problem seems to be that while navigating the tree of sections of a
document, atril doesn't actually jump to the section under the caret,
and pressing enter, and even left clicking on the section has no effect.
I don't have the problem kyle has, where it jumps to the middle of a
sentence in the middle of a page, but when reading the adobe flash
license agreement, located at aka.ms/adobeflash, atril opens to the
arabic section and I cannot jump to the english one. This was the first
pdf file I could lay my hands on to test atril functionality. Could it
be the pdf file you're using kyle? Could you try downloading the one I
listed to see if you still have the problem? Joanmeri diggs did a lot of
the work on atril so her code "should" work. But it's possible orca
needs fine tuning to work better with atril, maybe an app script like
evince has, although I'm not positive about that.
Thanks

Mate 1.20, antergos 18.02
Trying to read a document of any type supported by atril with caret
nav on causes atril to segmentation fault and dump core. Essentially
it crashes. It happens with any document atril supports, but happens
fastest with epubs. Orca from git, updated this morning. Could orca
be causing the segfault? I seriously doubt the mate devs would
release a version of atril which segfaults as release quality code.
Can anyone else confirm
Thanks
