Yes, Arabic is supported. It is not in current partnership between Hypra
and Voxygen but I think it is easy to add. Just I am afraid it is
somewhat more expensive, according to the number of persons who want it.

Brazilian (Portugese) is announced in progress of dev on the website. It
will be released soon then.

It is tested on Debian Jessie and Stretch, and might work on  newest
Ubuntu as the patch is in speech-dispatcher master. It installs from
speech-dispatcher-baratinoo package, available now in Hypra repo as
Debian packages.

Yes, we use spd modules, hence free software for them.

It works with both pulseaudio and alsa, but we are fixing a bug on alsa
(soon available as a small fix once we ave time to implement it).

Yes it is personal use (or professional use as well).

The license is 90 euros per pack (but for multilingual, it is possible
to get packs less expensive, about 50 euros).

It is a hardware protection: you are given a keystring, you enter it in
a tool which sends to Voxygen server technical stuff about the machine,
it generates a license activation file that is installed on your machine
by the script. It is heavy, because VOxygen approach of speech synth was
not originally focused on usage by blind people on screen readers, so
they set hard processes. Hypra made them change somewhat via the pack
concept, while they just sold individual voices so far. In next
partnership, I wonder wether we should not modify packs for
multilingual, but will depend on feedbacks of users as well.
