Re: [orca-list] orca and android studio

I didn't only mean android studio, I also meant other apps that didn't
work, just do not remember which ones I have tested.
Oh, also java9 changes way accessibility providers are loaded due to
modularity, so java atk wrapper becomes incompatible with java9 by
definition.

Hello,

On arch linux when android-studio is build from an AUR PKGBUILD script
it ships its own local JDK inside /opt/android-studio/jre .
So I've attempted to install java-atk-wrapper classes into that jdk by
doing the following
# cp /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk/jre/lib/accessibility.properties
/opt/android-studio/jre/lib/
# mkdir /opt/android-studio/jre/lib/ext
# ln -s /usr/share/java/java-atk-wrapper.jar
/opt/android-studio/jre/lib/ext/

However it's not being loaded as if no java-atk-wrapper classes were there.
So yeah. This is a java swing application, we do have working
java-atk-wrapper however google perhaps have invented something very
inovative on how to break accessibility at yet another place.
On my machine nothing is freezing but simply accessibility classes are
not loaded. I don't yet know where to look for possible errors so it's
time for another hunting session.

Are you seeing something different on your machine?

Greetings

Peter

To be honest, for me it does not work well. Or more specifically, try to
use it for something bigger like android studio or whatever, it seems to
hank immediately without a warning. It worked for me only for
    simpler apps.
