Re: [orca-list] orca and android studio

To be honest, for me it does not work well. Or more specifically, try to
use it for something bigger like android studio or whatever, it seems to
hank immediately without a warning. It worked for me only for simpler apps.

Hello,
As we have found out yesterday java-atk-bridge appears to still work well.
Of course there is a space for improvements.
However I would say if critical issues will show up perhaps Magdalen
would accept some donations.

Or perhaps it would be nice to reward all the java-atk-wrapper
modernization and fixes implemented about two years ago right now as a
way to say thank you Magdalen.

Greetings

    Hello,

in general, I agree with you here.
However, for me it sounded like an urgent problem, so I suggested a
    bounty program.

This could also be a way to raise awareness, that there is an AT
interface. I as web developer heard about ARIA, but learnt about
this interface only because i got interested in Orca (so I could
learn what gets read in my work).

    Kind regards

    André

There are also sites that facilitate continuous support. The trickier
problem right now seems to be finding someone with the right
qualifications, availability, and interest in doing this, plus assessing
what amount of funding would make sense.

Then we could go out looking for support.
