Re: [orca-list] Blocking a sender

I go with what Didier suggests, but I think there are two other options you may want to consider.

First, you can run a filter at your email provider instead of your email client, such as Gmail. You can go to gmail.com, assuming you use Gmail, and set up the filter there. This way it will be applied no matter what client you end up using.

Second, you can try marking those messages as junk and train Thunderbird and Gmail to move those messages into your junk folder when it sees them.

Hmm, makes me wonder if I know who you're talking about! :-)

How does someone in Thunderbird block a sender, so you won't get any of their e-mails? I have an offending
abuser on my hands.
I never had to do that, but I would try this from the menu:
Tools
Message Filters
New
Select Apply filet when Manually Run and Getting New Mail, Before Junk Classification
Enter the filter name in the input field
In the fist drop down list select From ... Is ...
Type the email address of the offender in the input field
Among the actions choose Delete message or Delete From POP Server
Confirm

Greetings,

Didier
