With Ubuntu 16.04, alt+f1 takes me to a grid of open applications. It doesn't take me to the dash. To get to the dash, I hit super and then control+alt+tab. This takes me to the overview panel of the dash where I can arrow up and down between the favorites and running applications.
Ok, so when you press alt + f1 is the grid of applications accessible?
And can we set a custom (and perhaps single ) shortcut key to go to the overview panel of dash to navigate through the favorite applications?
Happy hacking.
