You can download a nightly build of Firefox at: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/
Just choose your language, your platform, download the file, unpack it and run firefox .
If your are on Arch linux, there are even firefox-nightly and firefox-nigtly-i18n packages in the AUR if you prefer that route.

Yes indeed. It started magically working. It appears flat review now reliably follows browse mode navigation in Firefox.
So if I have noticed it my-self I could just say that you can just press numpad slash to activate the item you have just browsed to.
How awesome such seemingly minor things can have huge impact.

Hi Nolan.
The reason the existing Orca command to click on the current element
fails in Firefox was due to a bug in Firefox/Gecko in which setting the
caret wasn't causing items to be scrolled into view. That has recently
been fixed in Nightly. Have you tried it yet?
And the way the click command is supposed to work in Orca is to check if
flat review is active. If it's not (i.e. you're just reading/interacting
with the web page in browse or focus mode), it should click on the
current item. If you're using Firefox Nightly and not finding that,
please let me know.
