[orca-list] Orca VERY sluggish with some lists (especially in its own preferences)

Hey hey,
I noticed that Orca sometimes reacts very sluggishly, when navigating in 
lists. A good - or bad - example is in Orca's preferences -> voice tab -> 
person combo box. The same can also happen in the synthesizer combo box on the 
same page or even the voice combo box, especially when switching to system.

Is there a setting somewhere in the whole GUI environment to improve this 
issue?
