I'd thought of that too, but when I checked in ~/.config/pulse, the 
cookie file is all that is there. I used to have tons of files therein, 
but not anymore. Occasionally my sound setup would be completely borked, 
and an rm would at least restore everything to a stable default state. 
I'm starting to wonder if these files moved between Fedora 23 and 24. 
Also checked ~/.local/share but couldn't find anything.
