I use Ubuntu with Unity and Orca. But I also installed Ubuntu-Mate 
desktop bij:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-mate-core ubuntu-mate-desktop

In the login screen I can choose for Unity or Mate by pressing F10, left 
arrow and then down arrow.
So far LibreOffice Calc gives problems to use.
