Hi,
I tryed your suggestions and got carrot navigation working mostly fine.
I only had an issue where I kept on clicking links and the respective 
page seemd to not open.
By clicking I mean pressing tab key and then hitting enter.
you can try gnukhata.in and see what I ment.
Else reading a web page or a web app form has been a relatively pleasant 
experience.
Further more, are the bugs known to the webkitGTK developers?
If not what bugs are to be filed?
I think webkit will be a great thing and if epiphany browser becomes 
accessible then there will be a great alternative to some what heavy and 
inconsistent browser like Firefox.
