Re: [orca-list] status of accessibility on webkit-gtk

This is a non-trivial task I'm afraid. And what's blocking things are
bugs in WebKitGtk.

Hi Joanie,
Can this be a starting point for a person like me to contribute to Orca?
I am a Python developer and would love to get this working.
Is there some point I can start at?
happy hacking.

Hi Krishnakant.

I have not yet completed the Orca-controlled caret for WebKit. So if the
page you are accessing can be read using native caret navigation
(enabled via F7 in Epiphany), it should be ok. If the page you are
accessing is an accessible web app, it should also be ok. If you require
an Orca-controlled caret, then you probably won't yet have the
experience you want.
