Re: [orca-list] Flat review does not update dynamically and terminal output is not read properly on Arch...am I missing something?

Hi Justin.

As I indicated in my previous message, I hope that I've improved the
situation with flat review not updating dynamically. And as I indicated
in the message I sent last week (below), I believe I addressed the
terminal output issues you reported. Could you please pull master and
verify these things? (If I missed a message from you regarding the
terminal issues, my apologies.)

Thanks!

Hi Justin.

I'm still working on Flat Review. In the meantime, regarding these
terminal issues:

That's a VTE issue it seems. The text-insertion events are missing parts
of the inserted text. I'm now working around this in Orca master, and am
no longer seeing missing text. Please verify.

when I use less, for example to read a man page, the page of text
presented when pressing B or F is not read automatically.

If you used Ctrl+B and Ctrl+F it should have worked. It's hard to guess
when a text insertion event (even one which isn't broken) is the result
of a command that should be spoken. And there is the danger of Orca
guessing wrong. Having said that, I've updated Orca's heuristics to try
to catch these. They work for me now. Please verify.

Thanks!
