hi
Cinnamon isn't fully accessible yet, but they are definitely working on
it. They just closed a bug that was keeping sounds from playing when you
turned on toggle keys. Keys like caps lock, num lock, etc. They
definitely have a ways to go but as soon as it's accessible there will
be a sonar cinnamon edition. I'm keeping on top of it. I've posted a few
messages to this list but joanie has always replied back with it's their
bug, which means they need to fix their accessibility. I don't know
where the rumor got started that the head guy didn't care about
accessibility but when I talked to him he was extremely good about it.
Put orca right back into mint when it was previously removed. If you
guys want I can happily keep the list updated about cinnamon
accessibility. Currently the desktop icons read, so do the file manager.
Their settings control panel is a little bit odd with orca and you can't
get to the panel or the dash with orca. Once those are fixed cinnamon
will be fully accessible.
Thanks
Kendell Clark
