I see, now this double confirms that Unity is bigger issue.
I don't know how Gnome has progressed as far as 3.18 is concerned, but 
as I have seen before, notifications don't work very well and searching 
files and folders is very slow.
With Mate, I have been very happy except that kaja is problematic when 
selecting files.
For example if i am selecting set of files using ctrl +right arrow the 
next selected item is not spoken at all.
This is a fundamental task and must work properly for any one to use Mate.
So all in all I am wantingly or unwantingly back to Unity.
Any tips from any one will be more than welcome.
