Yes, it works! Thank you!

Hi Jordy,
Margins are being added soon but they are not there yet.
I think your best option at present is to use the translation in
your embosser. I have a basic "D" v3 so I have to use the cups
driver.
So, is it working now?

Hi Keith,
I installed the Index Braille AB driverpackages. Is that good,
or not?
What are the biggest problems with the CUPS support for the
Everest? Can I do simple margin-settings, left, right, top and
bottommargin? Now I translate my texts with the Liblouis tables
in the embosser itself!
Greetings, Jordy

There has been some work done to support embossers in cups.
Use your browser to navigate to http://localhost:631
and go to "add a new printer".
If you connect your embosser it will probably be in the list
of found printers.
Once you have added the embosser you can set the defaults in
cups by selecting the embosser in the printer list and
choosing the set defaults option.
To emboss a document, just use the "control p" option and
select the embosser as the printer.
There are currently a couple of issues with margins and paper
size but they are being worked on.

Hi all,
I bought a new braille embosser yesterday.
But I don't know how do I connect the embosser properly to a
Debian 8 machine. Can anybody tell me how I connect and
configure the embosser properly, please?
I work with the following hardware and software:
An ASUS N551JK-CN079H-BE AZERTY (belgian model) with 8GB of
RAM, 500GB harddisk, a Nvidia graphics card and a Intel Core
i7 from the fourth edition.
I run Debian 8.4 Jessie 64-bits with Orca 3.18.2 active. And
that all on the Mate desktop environment.
I use Dots as external braille translator, but in
LibreOffice Writer is odt2braille installed.
How do I use this software with the embosser?
The embosser is a Index Everest V4 with firmware v1.5.3. Set
in the British English language, because there isn't a Dutch
translation available.
I hope that anyone can help me as soon as possible!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Jordy D
