No, god no. Who said that? I only meant that they seem to be a little
slower at fixing accessibility bugs in linux, not that there's  a
conspiracy against linux. If that were the case eclipse wouldn't run on
linux. What is the case, however, at least in my experience, is that
when linux accessibility bugs are filed, no one comments. Someone on the
arch channel pointed me at two such bugs, and the only comments were
from us orca users. So I think there's a general lack of awareness of
accessibility on linux. There's probably only one or two people, at
most, doing accessibility work on linux. Then again, there are probably
only one or two doing accessibility work on windows too. I don't know an
alternative, other than to persist. We keep filing bugs, and getting
them fixed. Whining about how we're not represented enough, or those
mean old microsoft people are taking all our thunder  isn't going to
solve anything, though I'll admit I do some of this myself in my darker
hours.

I'm not sure what the alternative is. Are you suggesting that Eclipse

not supporting Linux at all? Seems like it would be a lot easier to just
drop support of Linux.

I suspect it's more likely that Eclipse is like every other software
project out there and they have more bugs then they can work on at any
one time, so they prioritize their bugs based on severity and
pervasiveness, so bugs impacting just blind users on Linux, although
they won't necessarily be ignored altogether, may not get fixed as
quickly as similar bugs on platforms with a greater number of users at
the moment. I believe this is the more likely scenario, and I don't buy
into this conspiracy to keep Linux down, especially not from a project
like Eclipse.
