for some reason on my hp elitebook 6930p the sonar install disk will not
boot up. I just get an hp logo and it just sits there. that's according
to google goggles on my moto g android phone. its strange talking arch
disk boots but sonar won't boot.

You'll get a little more than you might want, but can remove the
unwanted stuff after install. I think some sort of talking installer
that lets user set up the discs and select package groups would be great!
