for an 8 year old wanting to play minecraft, a few games in wine and on
chrome running ubuntu mate how much ram would you recommend? 4gb good
enough or would 8gb and above for an elementary school age kid be
overkill? tired of him getting viruses on his windows machine due to his
irresponsibility and him talking to people on steam who we do not know
and them giving him games that are way way too well games rated M for
mature he should not be playing.

Installing Linux is very easy fro a blind person, so you do not need to limit yourself to what you can get
preinstalled.
Installation takes less than an hour in most cases, with you just sitting there half of more than half of the
time...
