Re: [orca-list] What's Wrong with Gnome-Terminal?

I get the same thing; though I hear Orca say something about terminal whileI'm typing in part of the word so that matching logic works but it still doesn't launch anything after I hit the enter key.

Also, I gave it a try from the native console and I saw several errors but I was thinking that was OK since I wasn't inside GNOME at the time. I saw some messages about not being able to access the display or something. I'll have to give this more attention when I get home from work tonight. I've never seen this before so I can't imagine how or why this fails.

What happens when you hit the super key for the search indexer and just type terminal?

Subject: [orca-list] What's Wrong with Gnome-Terminal?

I have all the latest packages related to gnome 3.16 installed on my arch linux system and cannot get terminal to open. I tried control-alt-t and I also typed gnome-terminal in the alt-f2 box and it never opens. It basically just stays in the currently running application such as my documents folder. I don't get any errors or anything else; at least Orca doesn't indicate anything.

Any ideas on what could be going on here?
