Re: [orca-list] some issues in thunderbird/orca

Hi Joanie and all.

the problem reported in bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1066974 seems to be fixed by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=934874.
I tested with TB version 35.0a1 (2014-09-13).

One more problem is that the date field has no label associated.

Done, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1066974

I hope that in the correct way.

Thanks.

Hey José.

Given your findings, could you please file a bug against Thunderbird
quoting the accessible name text with the missing character and CC me
on the bug?

Thanks!

Looking in the debug file generated by orca, I saw that this is
returned by thunderbird.

In this case orca only is presenting what TB is exposing.

with the from, subject, etc field. Orca instead reads fro, subjec,

just thought I'd write in. Thanks Kendell clark

Hi all. This is not new and probably is not a bug in orca.
To reproduce try the following steps: 1. While reading this
message press tab until orca reads: 'Other Actions push
button' 2. Press shift+tab one more time. Note that orca will
read something similar to the following: 'read only entry
07:29 AM' There is no description associated with this
field.

3. Press shift+tab again. Note that orca reads: 'T: Orca
List <orca-list gnome org> read only entry ' 'Edit
Contact push button' I beleive that only the last line should
be read.

4. Press shift+tab again. Now orca reads: 'T: Orca List
<orca-list gnome org> read only entry ' Note that orca
reads "T:" instead of "To:", but I suspect that this is a bug
in TB.

5. Presstab. Orca reads: 'Edit Contact push button' -- This
is correct and should be the same in step 3.
