This correct, and the only minor thing I'll add is that I think the underscore char may be allowed, I'm 
remembering that 
I've used it before, but do not trust my memory on this completely. 
YOu can try and see if it's accepted, but uppercase is not allowed in the actual username. You can use your 
full name 
with spaces and uppercase as you would normally write it in the name field. 
The confussion comes because installers usually take the fullname and by default turn that in to the user, 
and disallow if 
it contains uppercase chars.
