Hello,
gparted requires polkit or its equivalent in order to be able to run as normal user. I had never issues running it nor I have issues accessing apps running with root privileges while using orca no mather how they are started either using sudo or elevated via polkit. I am running arch linux with gnome 3.12. So most likelly this is an ubuntu specific issue. I'm not exactly sure what's causing it, but sometimes gparted works and sometimes it doesn't. This isn't just with gparted though. Any app that tries to run as root will sometimes work with orca, and at other times not. Imo this needs fixing, soon. When I start gparted application under system/administration menu, I write my password, and gparted window is inaccessible with Orca. When i start gparted in terminal with sudo command, gparted is inaccessible with orca too. Any idea? Thanks.
