Do other keyboard shortcuts work, i.e. any gnome shortcuts, or those for what ever desktop you use?

I am using orca in debian wheezy. It sometimes stops responding to orca
keystrokes So if I press insert+space, nothing happens. The worst is that
pressing control to interrupt speech doesn't work. Restarting orca with
"orca --replace" doesn't fix the problem. Is there some other way to restart
orca so that it starts accepting keystrokes again?
