Re: [orca-list] Paldo Podcast 1

Hello,
I think the packages are specific to paldo. It works similar way like packaging for arch linux where there is a so called spec file for each package which just instruct upkg where to pull the sources from and how to install them.

Greetings

Peter

flash can certainly be installed on most distros, but for downloading to watch later I highly reccommend video download helper extension for firefox. It can auto convert using ffmpeg if you install that and configure. Also, youtube-dl is a easy to use cli util that will d-load the fild for you, and you can set the filetype you want it
saved in.

Hi Simon,
Many thanks for the podcast. I could install Paldo successfully on a
laptop for a friend who is sighted. After I also installed Firefox. One question of my friend is that he could not watch youtubes. What must be
done for Firefox to show youtubes?
