Dear developers,
I would like to ask You, if Python or C++ libraries or Libreoffice
methods enable You to construct new algorithm, which will inform blind
user, if text inside slide exceeded The allowed line items.
Orca can now inform user, that text would had to be fivided and that
next line of text have to be created.
But Orca can not inform user, that line rate is too long in The context
of The font type and font size.
Jaws can do that. So what about triing to incorporate this mathematic
algorithm to Orca?
The mathematic formula would had to work with The following variables.
Font size, font type, ARIAL, Times new roman ETC, and The fact, if The
text filled whole screen or no.
The discussion would include The following.
Is it possible to do that only by using information available from Libre
office presentation and at-spi, or somethink like a display chaining
driverwould had to exist for Linux distributions?
Or Jaws really uses mathematic formulas to calculate if presentation is
visible on The screen normally?
Jaws is also using other calculations, such as calculation, which inform
users, if The tile is overlapping The text.
Do You think, that those complex calcalculations, which Jaws uses can be
performed only because Jaws uses Video intercept? Or Microsoft Office
object model contain some methods which enable programmers to develop
those complex algorithms?
In fact, Jawsws servers like a virtual human eye when blind user work
with Powerpoint.
And because there are issues with Windows 64 bit editions while using
Jaws, it would be great, if Orca would contain those techniques. Because
visually impaired users would be able to write nice Powerpoint
presentations, atleast The texts would never overlap other parts of
presentations, slides would contain only allowed number of lines.
What do YOu think about my complex plea?
Can Python and dependent Python components allow those complex calculations?
