There's a Ubuntu version as well, can't remember for sure what the repo is called that you must add, or you 
can just 
download the program as well.

Hi,

You should be able to add files and folders simply by placing them in your
dropbox folder, without having to use any other interface.

I use Dropbox from the command line and this is all I do.
