hi
There are also a couple of gui wrappers around clamav. The only one I know of here in arch is clamtk, but
ubuntu might
have more. There are, or were, proprietary av products by avast and comodo, but they're not accessible
whatsoever last
time I tried both of them.
Linux generally doesn't need antivirus itself, it's immune to all of the windows viruses you find on the net.
If you
work with windows machines or maintain windows machines for others clamav is good to have though. I suspect
if linux
viruses ever do become a problem either clamav will step up or another program will be created to deal with
it.
Thanks

Hi Amir,
Try ClamAV. It is in the Ubuntu Software Center, and is fully
accessible with Orc a because you can run clamscan in gnome-terminal
to scan files and folders for viruses.
Cheers!
