hi
Ok, last email for the night. I've decided on dbr, but I'll try to use the git hub hammer posted earlier.
I'll need to
figure out how to add alsa playback back in, as I said earlier. Anyone who knows more about python coding
than I do feel
free to drop by on one of the irc channels I'm on, either #talkingarch on irc.netwirc.tk, orca on gnome.org,
or #mate
on freenode. I like
dbr, it's lightning fast, but it does need quite a bit of work. i'll also try to get the original developers
to help, if
I can. Sorry about the flood of messages, linux has needed a good text only, audio only, full text and audio
daisy 2/3
player for years, and I hope it eventually has one.
Thanks
Kendell clark

Hi,
The kolibre libs are available as packages under ubuntu 13.04 and I think,
later.
If you are on such a platform, apt-cache search kolibre will show them.
The player itself seem to be for raspberry pi, but I think that if one find
the source, one can build it for intel.

hi
I'll try building emerson, a cross platform daisy 2/3/epub reader. I think I tried once, but couldn't find
a makefile,
configure, autogen, anything. Any help would be appreciated. I'll also look into the colibre libs. NOt
having to
handcraft an xml parser for daisy 3 would be a big relief, I'm not good in this area at all.
Thanks

I once tried building some oif the amis stuff, but it did not work out.
Now, as stated in another message, kolibre has done that work for us.
I am quite interested in a offline daisy player for linux.
