There is also kolibre, a set of open-source libraries for working with 
daisy.
They were also planning a daisy player, but last time I were on the site, 
it was only the libraries that were done.
Now they seem to have made a daisy player for reading online daisy books.
I have built the libraries before on linux.
The one library is a rework of the amis library.
This seem to be a good project and they are activly working on it.
